Halloween candy is getting more expensive as higher labor, energy and transportation costs continue to pressure food prices. Stew Leonard Jr. , CEO of Stew Leonard’s, says bags of popular candy are up about 50 cents from last year, prompting some shoppers to trade down to cheaper options.
